Our Characters Will Not Have A Romantic Angle: Anil Kapoor On Fanney Khan Co-Star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is making her presence felt in Bollywood ever since she has made her come back in the industry with with Sanjay Gupta's drama-thriller Jazbaa. She then won accolades with her roles in Omung Kumar's biographical drama Sarbjit and Karan Johar's romantic drama Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. The actress is now all set to reunite with Anil Kapoor for Atul Manjrekar’s Fanney Khan.

However, to our disappointment, the actress will not romance Kapoor. On this, the Welcome actor said, “Most exciting part is she (Aishwarya) is not opposite me. So that makes it different. Not that she was opposite me in Taal she was opposite Akshaye Khanna. But there was a certain undercurrent of romance in Taal and Hamara Dil AApke Paas Hai she was my wife. So we both are strangers in the film, strangers who come together but there is no romance which makes it exciting. That is the different part of our casting”.

That’s saddening but we are happy that the two actors are finally sharing screen space after almost seventeen years. Anil has earlier worked with the light-eyed beauty in two more films including Taal and Humara Dil Aapke Paas Hai. On a related note, Fanney Khan will start rolling by the end of August and will hit the theatres by April 2018.
