Aishwarya Rai, Randeep Hooda Starrer Sarabjit Singh’s Biopic to Release on May 20?

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who is making a comeback on the big screen with Jazbaa, will be seen in Sarabjit Singh’s biopic next. The shoot of the film hasn’t started yet and the rumours are a buzz that the flick will release on May 20 next year. If the rumours are true, the film, which also stars Randeep Hooda, will be hitting the screens around the IPL 2016, which could adversely affect the business of the Omug Kumar directorial.

A source told Bollywood Life, “This is a brave move as the IPL finals are scheduled for May 29. For at least two weekends, Sarbjit would have to battle with knockout games, and then the finals. IPL is at its peak at this time and yet, the makers feel it is the right time to arrive”.

No other film is releasing during that time. Films like Houseful 3 and Jagga Jasoos are slated to hit the theatres on June 3. Going by the records, IPL season was a boon for Piku and Tanu Weds Manu Returns and a bane for Ranbir Kapoor starrer Bombay Velvet.  Let’s see how it turns out for Aishwarya Rai’s next film.
