When a film is remade, the actors generally refer to the original film; but Ajay Devgn is an exception.
The Action Jackson star recently revealed that he hasn’t watched the original Drishyam as yet. “I’ve not seen the Malayalam film. This is my take of the character because Mohanlal is a fabulous actor and I didn’t want to get into his shoes”, Ajay told DNA.

When the Singham star was asked what is different about the film, he said, “Hopefully something different, because Drishyam is about the character of a common man who has got a lot of shades. He shows a visual which is deceptive and manages to practically con the whole police force”.

Ajay Devgn starrer Drishyam is the third remake of Jeethu Joseph‍‍ 's 2013 Malayalam film of same name. The film was remade in Telugu in 2014 and was titled Drushyam. The Tamil remake of the film, titled Papanasam, released on July 3 this year.
