Ajay Devgn from long has been playing action-packed and comedy roles but in his upcoming project ‘Drishyam’, he will be playing a totally different character. In this Nishikant Kamat directorial, the Omkara star will be playing a middle class man. His first look in the movie, which is scheduled to release on July 31, has been revealed.

Ajay’s look in the film is quite impressing. He has nailed the character. As per the picture, he is dressed in a middle-class working man’s attire, wearing sandals and carrying a shoulder bag. ‘Drishyam’ is a remake of a Malayalam film of same name, starring Mohanlal. It is a story about a character Vijay Salgaonkar, who is a class IV dropout. Vijay Salgaonkar is a cable operator based in Goa. He is a family man with small-town mindset.

The Golmaal actor wasn’t the first choice of the director. Saif Ali Khan was finalised to play the lead but later it was announced that Ajay will star in the Malayalam remake.  Earlier, it was said that the movie will hit the screen next year as Ajay wanted to focus on his dream project ‘Shivaay’ but the Raajneeti actor started to shoot for ‘Drishyam’ after ‘Shivaay’ hit a roadblock.
