Akshay Kumar Collaborates With Special 26 Director For Rustom

Akshay Kumar and Neeraj Pandey are once again teaming up for a romantic thriller film titled Rustom. This will be the third collaboration of the duo after Baby and Special 26. The Brothers actor himself announced the news on Twitter on his birthday today.

It is said that the film will be inspired by real life incidents and will be produced by Zee Studios, Kriarj Entertainment and Friday Filmworks. Talking of the film, Akshay said in a statement, “Having worked with Neeraj on two fabulous projects, I am excited to start work on our new film. I'm happy that Zee Studios is putting its might behind this film along with Kriarj Entertainment and Friday Filmworks. It gives me and the entire team confidence of this launched worldwide using the global might of Zee”.

Pandey, will reportedly write the dialogues of the film and co-write the screenplay along with Vipul Rawal. He will also play a major role in the editing of the flick. The director told Indian Express, “When Tinu narrated ‘Rustom’ to us, we immediately got hooked to the quality of the narrative and its potential and instantly decided that it was something that we would like to produce. We also really felt that given the nature of the story, Akshay would be the perfect fit and him agreeing to come on board will definitely give it the canvas it requires”. The film will go on floors in mid-December.
