4 Super-Hit Films That Akshay Kumar Shockingly Rejected

Akshay Kumar's mantra for success is simple: Work more than everyone else. The self-made actor is easily one of the most respectable people in the industry. And that is of course on top of being one of its stars biggest stars. While the Khans still draw bigger crowds, it's Akshay Kumar who ends being the most successful.

But as successful as he might be, the actor has missed a few opportunities on the way.

Bhag Milkha Bhag

This incredible journey of India's Flying Sikh was appreciated by almost everybody. Whether it was Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's steady hand or Farhan Akhtar's terrific central performance, the film had several highlights. But what's more interesting is that the role was first offered to Akshay Kumar.

Race 

This stylish-revenge story was mightily successful, with most of the praise directed towards Saif Ali Khan's role. We wonder why Khiladi chose not to be a part of it?

Baazigar

This thriller is one of the most important films of Shah Rukh Khan's early career. But Shah Rukh Khan wasn't the choice of the role. Hell, he wasn't even the second. It is reported that the role was first offer to Salman Khan who rejected the role, and then it was offered to Akshay Kumar who also did the same.

Ready (Item song: Character Dheela Hai)

Did you know that the massively popular Character Dheela Hai was initially to be picturised on The Khiladi in his 2010 comedy film Khatta Meetha. But Akshay refused to include the track in his flick for reasons best known to him and the item number shipped to Salman Khan’s Ready. The film and the song was greatly successful.
