Alia Bhatt Is Clearly Stealing Kareena’s Thunder In The Trailer Of Udta Punjab

Udta Punjab brings back Aditya and Geet from Jab We Met, but they’re not together anymore.

Directed by Abhishek Chaubey, produced by Phantom, this film is not about the come back of the coming together of two exes. Udta Punjab deals with the massive drug mafias and the addiction that has encapsulated the state of Punjab.

Very typical of Phantom, the dialogues are kickass, and the thrills build quite an exciting picture. You see Shahid Kapoor in a do or die kind of mode as Tommy Singh, a drug addict and he seems to have done justice to the character by looking, smoking, and walking like one stoner.

The superstar of Punjab, Diljeet Dosanj as an inspector balances the intensity and darkness of Shahid’s character with a warm smile and calmness on his face while he is shown investigating the entire ocean of drugs.

Kareena Kapoor Khan doesn’t quite leave you curious about her character, where she plays a doctor. She leaves you wanting for one thrilling scene in the trailer, but sadly there isn’t any.

Behold, Udta Punjab might just be the biggest success of Alia Bhatt as an actress. This young girl is completely stealing the show from all the three characters, including her favourite, Bebo. Alia's motion poster had already created uproar among her fans because it was kickass, and now in the trailer she abuses like a boss and she’s stealing the show in the trailer. Alia reminds a lot of her look in Highway, which just got 100 times more amazing!

The team seems to have done a good homework of making the drug and its addiction look real, which makes Udta Punjab a very dark movie.
