Is Alia Bhatt A Part Of ‘Aashiqui 3’? Hear It From The Lady Herself!

In a career spanning over 5 years, Alia Bhatt has evolved immensely as an actress. She recently won the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress for ‘Udta Punjab’. There were several reports that she will be seen as a main lead in the third instalment of Aashiqui franchise.

Recently, in an interview to a group of journalists, she spoke about ‘Aashiqui 3’ and informed, “Abhi tak kuch tey nahi hua hai. Wo likh rahe hai abhi. Mohit is busy with Half-Girlfriend and Vishesh Films is busy with Begum Jaan. My sister is also writing that lekin abhi aur kuch aur likh rahi hai.”

It seems that nothing about the film has been finalized yet. Director Mohit Suri, who helmed ‘Aashiqui 2’, said, “Since it is part of the Aashiqui franchise, Alia is playing a singer.” In fact, Sidharth Malhotra admitted that he was approached for the same saying, “I am in talks for Aashiqui 3 with Alia Bhatt, but nothing has been confirmed.”

Mukesh Bhatt also confirmed the casting saying, “Yes, it is true. We have signed Sidharth and Alia for the film. They completely fit the role. When we make films we look for the perfect casting. They both fit the bill.” But Alia dashed it all by saying, “Abhi tak kuch tey nah hai.”
