    Alma Mater honours Sanjay Dutt

Sanjay Dutt, who is currently serving a sentence at Pune’s Yerwada Central Jail, is being honoured by his school. A source close to the actor says that a trophy for an in-house cricket tournament organised by his school, The Lawrence School, Sanawar, Kasauli (Himachal Pradesh), will be dedicated to Dutt for the next three years. “He was really close to his teachers and school staff, and would visit his alma mater regularly. Despite having a hectic film schedule, he would be available to encourage the school’s activities and events.

And to honour Dutt’s dedication, the school’s authorities have decided to rename the Man Of The Tournament trophy of their in-house cricket tournament, Shomie Das Friendship Cup (SDFC), after him,” says a source close to Dutt, adding, “It will be titled the Sanjay Dutt Man Of The Tournament trophy for the next three years.” Apparently, Dutt got nostalgic when he was informed of the gesture. “It was heartwarming for his family. Dutt, too, was elighted and tearyeyed when he heard the news,” adds the source.
