Amitabh Bachchan’s next with R. Balki gets its title as Shamitabh

Paa director R. Balki has reportedly finalised a title for his next, starring Amitabh Bachchan and Raanjhanaa actor Dhanush. The film, which has been kept under the wraps since quite some time now, will be called Shamitabh.

The title has been unveiled by trade analyst Taran Adarsh on his Twitter page, “BREAKING NEWS: R Balki's Amitabh - Dhanush - Akshara Haasan starrer titled 'SHAMITABH'. Yes, #Shamitabh. Filming in progress.” Yesterday Big B also tweeted hinting that the title of the R. Balki film would be revealed soon. His tweet said, “Shall be disclosing name of R Balki film .. do log in .. it is quite unique and different !!” Amitabh and Dhanush will be joined by a newcomer, Kamal Haasan’s younger daughter Akshara, who will be the female lead in the film. Shamitabh also marks Akshara’s Bollywood debut. The 72-year-old Big B has worked together with Balki in Cheeni Kum and Paa. Filming of Shamitabh has begun in Goa last month. Amitabh is also supposed to sport a different look in the film.
