Amruta Khanvilkar Excited Of Working In 'Raazi'

Amruta Khanvilkar is a Marathi actress who made her Bollywood debut in 2007 with Manoj Tyagi’s film ‘Mumbai Salsa’. Though she was seen in a host of Marathi films, but, was away from Hindi films for a while. Her last Bollywood outing was Sajid Khan’s ‘Himmatwala’ in which she made a special appearance in an item song.

However, now the actress is on the seventh heaven as she has bagged a role in Meghna’s Gulzar’s upcoming directorial venture ‘Raazi’. She announced about the same by sharing a picture on her Instagram profile of the clapboard from the sets of ‘Raazi’. “N done with my scene #no1 on the sets of #raazi”, captioned the actress.

Talking about bagging the role, an elated Amrita said, “The feeling is yet to sink in and I can’t define in words how excited I am to bag this project. I have always admired Meghna Gulzar’s work and getting to work with her and the Dharma Productions is like a dream come true. It’s my second day at shoot today and I can’t hold my happiness. I cannot reveal much about my character now but I must add that Meghna Ma’am is so clear of her vision when it comes to her film and characters. Everyone of us has a beautifully etched character which will have its own strong storyline in the film.”

Amruta is not only a famous actress in the Marathi film industry, but, is also a popular face in television. She entered the industry with a talent hunt show ‘India's Best Cinestars Ki Khoj’ and went on to do several shows after that. She also won season 7 of the celebrity couple dance reality show ‘Nach Baliye’ with her actor husband Himmanshoo A. Malhotra.
