Anil Kapoor to star in Karan Boolani’s next teen comedy

Virgin Produced India has announced its first project with Anil and Rhea Kapoor. The said film is India’s first teen comedy and is about modern youngsters who meet during their freshman year at an American university. The film narrates the story of students who start college as strangers but leave as friends for life.

Rhea Kapoor said, “We have had this project with us for a bit. Our film reflects the voice of the generation. It’s a risk we have taken, so we don’t know if this will work. You do it because you are passionate about films. We are making this film for a global audience so it isn’t specifically for Bollywood or Hollywood markets. We aren’t going to filter the content and that will be a challenge”.

The film will also feature Oscar-winning music maestro A.R. Rahman. In an interview to bollywoodhungama.com, Anil Kapoor said that with this film they are looking forward to introducing Virgin Produced’s unique and successful business model to Bollywood.
