Anupam Kher Has A Series Of Questions For Aamir Khan

Anupam Kher has an important question to ask, "When did Incredible India become Intolerant India?" The question was directed towards Aamir Khan who feels that there is a growing sense of insecurity and fear in our country.

The debate over the issue of growing religious intolerance in the country is not just political anymore, it has taken filmmakers, actors, scientists, writer and others under its purview. Anupam Kher has been an active opponent of the intolerance debate.

He has condemned the actions of the people who have reacted against it by a way of #AwardWapsi. Writers, actors, directors have returned their government and government-backed organisation honours.

Last month Anupam Kher led a protest rally 'March for India' to Rashtrapati Bhawan against what is being called the growing intolerance in the society.

Recently Aamir Khan has joined the debate, saying he is "alarmed" by various incidents that have happened in the past. He also said that his wife Kiran Rao has suggested that they should probably leave the country.

He said, "She fears for her child. She fears about what the atmosphere around us will be. She feels scared to open the newspaper everyday. That does indicate that there is a sense of growing disquiet," Aamir attended the RNG Awards where he spoke at length about the prevalent situation in the society.

Aamir Khan made it very clear that this has always happened in the society and it has nothing to do with the establishment at the centre. But that doesn't make it correct? What happened in 1984 when the ruling party was different was disastrous but what is happening now is also an addition to the chapter.

However, Anupam Kher slammed Aamir Khan for making remarks about intolerance and tweeted:

One of the tweets also read, "Satyameva Jayate, you talked about evil practices but gave hope. So even in 'intolerant' times you need to spread hope and not fear."
