This Is How Much Anushka Sharma Starrer ‘Phillauri’ Collected On Friday At The Box Office

Anushka Sharma's second production 'Phillauri' hauled Rs 3.5 - 3.75 crores, which is a decent collection. The film which was made on a moderately small budget managed to pull INR 4.02 crore nett approx on the first day.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh informs us that ‘Phillauri’ performed well in East Punjab and Delhi. The numbers are likley to hike on the weekends as the audience are talking about Anushka and Diljit’s chemistry. However, the figures is disheartening in cities like Mumbai, Kolkata and Bengaluru where the numbers are below if we compare to an all India opening for NH 10 which was INR 3.25 crore nett. According to box office India's prediction, the film needs to buck up in order to gross decent amount at the box office.

The film also stars 'Life of Pi' fame star Suraj Sharma, 'Udta Punjab' actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh and Mehreen Pirzada in pivotal roles. Helmed by debutant Anshai Lal and produced under Anushka's home banner, Clean Slate Films and Fox Star Studios, Phillauri revolves around a young man played by Suraj Sharma, who forcefully marries a tree, due to which he faces Shashi- the Bhoot (played by Anushka).
