Arshad Warsi Slashes His Fee

Despite greater expectations, Arshad Warsi’s recent release Guddu Rangeela couldn’t do well at the box office. Four flops in a row; indeed it is a bad time for the Welcome to Karachi actor. Resulting to which, the Jolly LLB fame has, reportedly, slashed his remuneration by almost half.

Revealing the news, a source told Mid-Day, “Arshad is going through a lean patch in his career and is struggling for a hit. Many filmmakers prefer to not cast him in the lead as his acting fee is quite high — about Rs 1.5-2 crore. But with a string of flops, Arshad has decided to slash his fee”.

It is said that the Ishqiya star was recently approached for a film. Although, he liked his role in the flick but the remuneration became an issue for the makers of the film. Talking in that regard, the source said, “That was before 'Guddu Rangeela'. As it has flopped now, he has told the makers that he's ready to do the film for Rs 1 crore”.
