Awards will never matter for Ajay Devgn

Singham star Ajay Devgn is one of those actors who doesn’t believe in these modern day award ceremonies. The actor has constantly refrained himself from attending award shows and has never endorsed any event. For him, Box Office reward is much higher than these awards which hold no credibility to him.

Awards will never matter for Ajay Devgn

Ajay who’s won two national awards for ‘Zakhm’ and ‘The Legend of Bhagat Singh’ respectively believes that the modern day award shows are completely farce and forged. There is zero credibility for these shows and almost everyone ends up winning one. “There are 200 Awards and there are not even 200 good actors in the country and all 200 are getting them,” the actor said. Ajay believes that Box Office reward is the biggest award any perform could get since it directly involves the audiences. Like Aamir Khan, Ajay too is believed to be one actor who doesn’t get lured up by the fancy sets and lucrative offers made to attend and perform in award shows. The 45-year-old actor says that the current award ceremonies are nothing but a commercial prospect to gain money and score TRPs. He is all geared up for his next release Singham Returns which due to open on Independence Day. Meanwhile we hope the considerable boycott and turning down of award ceremonies by a lot of senior members of the fraternity brings about a good change in the Indian Award system.
