Ayushmann Khuranna Thinks He Is Comfortable With Unconventional Films

Ayushmann Khuranna is one such newcomer who has carved a niche for himself in the Bollywood industry. Ayushmann gained recognition with his debut film itself which was Shoojit Sircar’s ‘Vicky Donor’. In a short period of five years, the actor has put his name in the list of actors best suited for unconventional and challenging roles with movies like ‘Vicky Donor’ and ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’.

The actor is now all set for yet another unconventional movie with Aanand L Rai’s ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’. The flick deals with erectile dysfunction. At the trailer launch of the flick, the actor spoke about why he thinks he is not skeptical about doing unconventional films. He said, “I will be skeptical if I choose conventional subjects. You have to find your niche”.

Ayushmann further spoke about erectile dysfunction that many men face. He said, “ It (the film) does not stereotype people. It's a normal issue in our country and people deal with it. Some don't deal with it all; when people here about it they say go to Switzerland. Going to Switzerland or New Zealand is not going to solve the issue. You have to see to it. Go to a doctor, solve it”.

Helmed by Tamil filmmaker R S Prasanna, the film will see Ayushmann romancing Bhumi Pedneker for the second time. They earlier paired up for Sharat Katariya’s ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’. The film will hit the theatres on September 1.
