I've Carved A Niche For Myself: Ayushmann Khurrana On The Roles He Does In Films

Singer and Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana is known to have made his debut with romantic comedy movie Vicky Donor. Ever since he debuted, the actor has been portraying roles in off-beat movies. Recently, the Dum Laga Ke Haisha star opened up about his movies and his future plans during an interview.

On being asked about his aspirations, Ayushmann was quoted as saying, “I have carved a niche in the industry without following the conventional route. I am aware of my strengths and I am also evolving as an actor and a singer. Also, in the long run, if my films fare well at the box office, then of course I will get a chance to play larger-than-life characters”. On being asked about his movies, the Nautanki Saala! star revealed that unconventional movies with quirky scripts have always worked for him.

Khurrana will be next seen starring in the movie ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’, which will also star Rajkummar Rao and Kriti Sanon. The movie is helmed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and the script is penned by Nitesh Tiwari, who has previously helmed Aamir Khan starrer Dangal. The movie is slated to release on August 18 and is bankrolled under the banner of Junglee Pictures and BR Studios.
