Here’s Why Diljit Dosanjh Said No To Working With Ajay Devgn!

Yes we totally loved him in his subtle and significant self as a badass cop in Udta Punjab who later strides to fight against the growing drug menace in the state. Diljit Dosanjh with his likable screen charm in this year’s dark drama did make it clear that he has arrived. He has all the qualities of being a quality inclusion in a Hindi film and we should look forward to his acting as much as we love his singing.

However, the actor/singer recently said no to filmmaker Milan Luthria who approached him with the hopes of getting him onboard for Baadshaho. The film that stars Ajay Devgn in the lead reportedly had a very interesting character that Milan offered to Dosanjh. The actor although felt he wasn’t best suited to the character and passed it on with all due respect.

Here’s Why Diljit Dosanjh Said No To Working With Ajay Devgn!

“Milan sir is a nice director. The role that I was offered I felt I would not be able to justify. It was a nice role. But I couldn't relate to the character. I felt I couldn't just do it. I did speak to Milan sir after that,” Diljit clarified as to why he didn’t take this opportunity of sharing screen with Ajay Devgn. While he was later replaced with Emraan Hashmi in the same role, Diljeet said he’s a fan of his work and he’s a perfect replacement.

Baadshaho is based during the period India was under emergency and it stars Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi and Vidyut Jamwal in prominent roles. The team that brought an enticing piece like Once Upon a Time in Mumbai a few years ago, may have something good in store for the audiences. Baadshaho releases on My 12th next year.

As much as we would have liked Diljit Dosanjh to make another big screen appearance in a fine movie, we also respect the decision he’s made to be fair to the film and the script. You better sign your next Bollywood assignment Diljit!
