    The upcoming Varun Dhawan starrer Badlapur has been given an A certificvate by the censor board. While the new censor board has already been under a spur of controversy, this move doesn’t surprise many.

    However, the content that Badlapur deals with, it was pretty much evident that the film would be rated A. The film apparently depicts violence in brutal means and also some passionate intimate scenes between the lead pairs. While the censor was OK with rating it ‘U/A’ with some cuts, it was director Sriram Raghavan who opted to go with a full ‘A’ certificate. He reportedly didn’t want to dilute the essence of the film with cuts and wants them to be as they are. Nawazuddin Siddiqui plays the main antagonist while Yami Gautam and Huma Qureshi are the female leads.
