Bajirao and Mastani give a miss to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Diwali party while Priyanka shows up

Priyanka Chopra’s eye infection may have caused some trouble for the unit to hold a shooting schedule, but the actress did balance it out by showing up late for director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Diwali party. The director had immediately called off the shoot and hosted a Diwali party as soon as the actress told him about her conjunctivitis.

However, the principle cast of his film Bajirao Ranveer Singh and Mastani Deepika Padukone were nowhere to be found in the party. While Deepika had to attend the premiere of her film Happy New Year in Dubai, Ranveer too had some other commitments. A source close to the affairs revealed, "On Thursday night, that's on Diwali night, all of Bollywood attends the parties at the Bachchans and Aamir Khan. SLB didn't want a clash. He chose a quieter Wednesday night for his party and that too because his shooting got cancelled." Turns out, SLB didn’t want to lose out on any wasted time and used his resources to the fullest. Let’s just hope the same energy translates into a good film as well.
