    After emerging as a big winner at the recently-held Screen awards, Anurag Basu’s much-acclaimed filmBarfi!has also picked up the highest number of nine nominations at the 58th Filmfare Awards. The Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Ileana D’Cruz starrer film got nominated in the most coveted categories like best actor (male), best actor (female), best film and best director. Legendary filmmaker Yash Chopra’s last directorial ventureJab Tak Hai Jaanis the second favourite at the prestigious awards by getting seven nominations.

    In the category of best actor (male) Ranbir and Shah Rukh Khan will get tough competition from Irrfan Khan forPaan Singh Tomar, Hrithik Roshan forAgneepath, Salman Khan forDabangg 2and Manoj Bajpayee forGangs of Wasseypur. On the other hand, in the best actor in leading role (female) category, Priyanka Chopra will face challenges from Kareena Kapoor forHeroine, Deepika Padukone forCocktail, Sridevi forEnglish Vinglish, Vidya Balan forKahaaniand Parineeti Chopra forIshaqzaade. The Filmfare awards have created a unique trophy this time which has a golden base as Bollywood is celebrating 100 years of the Indian cinema and the ceremony will be held on January 20.
