Bhoothnath Returns' Box-Office Fate... Will It Be Great?

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who was last seen in Prakash Jha's Satyagraha, returns to silver screen with his latest flick Bhoothnath Returns. We take a look at what the buzz is:

Promotional overdrive

Despite struggling with health issues, the 71-year-old veteran actor has left no stone unturned to promote the film. He recently visited the sets of television Tarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashma to promote the film and sent across a positive message to the audience. One can imagine the amount of efforts Amitabh has put in this film.

What's buzzing

The film, which is a sequel to 2008 film Bhoothnath, has got positive reviews and great buzz. Co-produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Ravi Chopra and Ajay Kapoor, the horror comedy also stars Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor and Boman Irani. With all their fans combined, the film has got to do well at the box-office. Right?

What to expect

The film is set in a chaotic urban locality and features a fearless, street-kid. It is a political satire in which a ghost takes on a corrupt politician by fighting elections against him. Boman is cast as the mean politican who is challenged by Amitabh. We say it's a perfect family film.

You can't talk about Amitabh Bachchan without talking about his family. If the latest rumours are anything to go by, the Bachchan family is expecting a new member. But if our sources are to be believed, it is just a rumour. Wonder why people do that? Guess Aishwarya Rai fans are tired of waiting for her comeback film.

Since its the only Hindi film to release this week, it's likely going to be a hit at the box-office. Moreover, school vacations are on and kids will definitely watch this one. As for Amitabh Bachchan, he will next star in a film directed by Abbas-Mustan which is a dark murder mystery, and it is not Race 3. Thank God for that!
