Megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s upcoming film, Bhoothnath Returns, which is due to release this Friday, will clash with the period of polls. While the film basically puts emphasis on the significance of voting, its release clashing with polls is a mere coincidence, according to the megastar himself.

Bhoothnath Returns to focus on necessity of voting, says Amitabh Bachchan

The 71-year-old star emphasised that the young generation should take active part in the elections to bring a change to the national political scenario. Big B, who was in the Capital to promote his film, said, "We decided on the film one and half years ago and we never knew that it will release during the elections. `Bhoothnath Returns` gives a serious message of voting through its storyline.” He added further, "One vote can bring a sea-change in our country and I feel youth should participate in large numbers to bring that change.”
The actor also inspired others to vote by saying that he makes it sure to exercise his voting rights every time without missing a single opportunity. Bachchan, who has been an MP from Allahabad, said, "I have been voting since my college days. I don`t remember exactly which year I gave my first vote but as per as I remember I have never missed out my voting right.” Directed by Nitesh Tiwari Bhoothnath Returns will take off from that sequence exactly where Bhootnath signed off. The film will also have guest appearances by Shah Rukh Khan and Ranbir Kapoor. The megastar said, "Both the two actors play very important roles in the film. Shah Rukh, who was also there in the previous part, comes in the film at a very important time and helps the story to proceed further. Ranbir plays himself in the film, who talks about the importance of voting.” Bachchan will be seen next in Shoojit Sircar`s Piku co-starring Irrfan Khan and Deepika Padukone.
