Bhumi Pednekar To Romance Sushant Singh Rajput In Abhishek Chaubey’s Next On Chambal Dacoits
It is already known that filmmaker Abhishek Chaubey is preparing for his next movie which revolves around Chambal dacoits and set in 1970’s. It was also reported that he has roped in actor Sushant Singh as the male lead. And now we have heard that the director has signed in actress Bhumi Pednekar as the female lead.
"Like Sushant, Bhumi too plays a dacoit. She plays his love interest and gave the nod a month ago. The film will be shot in the Chambal ravines and will roll early next year. Abhishek and his team has already begun scouting for locations," revealed a source close to the team.
Sudip Sharma, the co-writer of the flick said it earlier that he visited Chambal to do the initial research and even met some reformed dacoits. He further stated that when he visited the city, he realised that the past Hindi films which have been made on the subject have not shown the reality. The makers aim to bring the reality of Chambal dacoits on the screen.
Meanwhile, on the work front Bhumi is gearing up for the release for her upcoming film 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha' with Akshay Kumar. She also has 'Shubh Mangal Savdhan' with her first co-star, Ayushmann Khurrana in her kitty.
