The apparent change of title has happened with regard in terms of the storyline. The film that has ‘chess’ as an important aspect in the backdrop, was given a title that was a lot more relatable. A source close to the film revealed, “Do was a working title and it was decided to go with a title change as it apt to the story line of the film. Wazir is an important part of chess board game and syncs well with the plot of the film.” The film is being directed by Bejoy Nambiar of the ‘Shaitan’ fame and also stars actress Aditi Rao Hydari. Farhan himself confirmed the news of title change on twitter and wrote, “The Vidhu Vinod Chopra/ Bejoy Nambiar film is now officially titled Wazir.”

The film is looking an interesting prospect with a dark and intense feel all over it. Big B plays a paralysed chess master on a wheel chair while Farhan plays an ATS officer. Film’s first schedule was recently shot in Delhi.
