Big B felicitated with Padma Vibhushan, family attends event

Superstar of the millennium, Amitabh Bachchan was honoured with the Padma Visbhushan award, the second highest civilian honour in the country. At the Civil Investiture Ceremony held at the Rashtrapti Bhavan, Mr. Bachchan was given the award by President Pranab Mukherji.

While the award was conferred to the actor a few months ago, the official ceremony is taking place as we speak. Honoured for his contribution to the field of art, Mr. Bachchan is now first of the family to get the award. The actor has been expressively grateful to the government for having shown the respect to honour him with such high regards.

The ceremony was attended by entire Bachchan family including wife Jaya, daughter Shweta and daughter in law Aishwarya Rai. Abhishek who was shooting in Dubai until this morning flew all the way down to the capital for this event. While, Big B sends his gratitude to all his fans and well wishers, we expect a Bharat Ratna for the man someday.
