This Is The REAL Reason Why Hina Khan Said 'Yes' For Bigg Boss 11

Actor Hina Khan is nowhere near the diligent, subservient bahu she played on her show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. She’s a tough, confident girl who’s all set to show her glamorous side on the biggest reality show of the year, Bigg Boss season 11. “I have been doing Indian television for so long, I want to break that image of me as a bahu. I have seen actors who have done such shows for years and they are never able to come out of that image,” she reveals in a chat with us before entering the house, where she will be locked with 14 people from all walks of life —commoners and celebrities. The show goes on air tonight.

She was also a finalist in the recently-concluded task-based reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi. Stating clearly that she’s not going in solely dependent on her popularity, she adds, “Bigg Boss is not about how much fan base you already have. There are even commoners (like in the last season) who won the show without having any fans. I am therefore not going in with the baggage of my fan-base, but just to prove myself.”

Superstar Salman Khan, who has been hosting the show for the past 7 seasons now, is also a major reason why Hina gave her nod to the show. She laughs, “Salman ke liye toh main kahin bhi chali jaungi! But he is gonna be there for only 2 days on weekends, rest of the week we have to spend away from him. Doing Khatron.. gave me a lot of confidence, that why not? Zyaada se zyaada I will get eliminated.”
