B.O. Report: New releases dismal, Dum Laga Ke Haisha triumphant

Sharat Kataria’s Dum Laga Ke Haisha has now become one of the few films to have earned more in the second weekend than first. The film continued its victory march with flying colours and posted a very impressive total in its second weekend.

The film collected 1.91 crores on Friday, 2.36 croroes on Saturday and 2.45 crores on Sunday. The figures are much higher in the range than what it collected in its opening weekend. The victorious performance of the film goes out to show the power of positive word of mouth and impact. Dum Laga Ke Haisha now stands at a collection of 17.36 crores, which is very strong.

On the other hand, all new releases this week were quashed out by the audiences. Mallika Sherawat starrer Dirty Politics did manage to put up some numbers but those were only restricted to a certain regions. Meanwhile Badlapur has neared the 50 crore mark and will be interesting to see if it sustains any further.
