With Ki and Ka, R Balki shows the male protagonist doing the domestic chores and support his working wife and mother in law. He wakes up his office going wife and mother in law, gives them food, mops, cleans, does the dishes, waits for the maid, and later in the evening when the ladies come back, serves them with hot food again. His role was on point and set another role model for so many people out there, who think man staying at home, and woman going out to earn bread is ‘abnormal’.

It was indeed a big step for such a popular newbie in the industry. This move,  shocked his fans as they were not really expecting this!

Amir Khan didn’t think twice before taking up the role, and doing it with full dedication. He also gained weight up to 60 kgs to make his character look authentic.

Ranbir Kapoor’s child-man character in Ae dil hai mushkil, was far different from usual heroes in the film fraternity, who go shirtless and showoff their masculine body. Ranbir Kapoor tapped into his feminine side in the song Channa Mereya. Even as he adjusted his turban, he looked into the mirror and embraced his female side. He played a new age young man, who doesn’t need beard or tattoos to look masculine. With those mehendi hands he surely won over our hearts!

Irrfan Khan played the role of an innocent husband and father, who could do anything for his wife and his 5 year old daughter. His innocence won many hearts. Not only did he drape a saree for a scene in the film, but also Irrfan learnt the intricacies of draping a saree, to make his performance look pitch perfect. His performance was heartwarming and way different from the cliche roles that bollywood celebs prefer to do.
