    Bombay Talkies to pay tribute to Amitabh Bachchan with a ‘Bachchan anthem’

    The legendary figure in Indian cinema, megastar Amitabh Bachchan who has enthralled millions of audiences for years with his onscreen charisma, is going to have a special honour from Anurag Kashyap’s forthcoming movieBombay Talkies. A special song, titled ‘Bachchan anthem’ has been added in the movie as a tribute to Big B, to acknowledge his extraordinary contribution to Indian cinema.

    A source in association with the movie explained, "Amitabh Bachchan is an icon in the film industry and has given blockbuster memorable films as his body of work. The song will have a lot of kids, dressed in different avatars donned by Big B over the years in his movies.” The lyrics of the song are as following, "Sitaaron ki shaan hai jo, vo Bachchan, cinema ka imaan hai jo, vo bachchan, reelon se dilon tak, aya re aya re... chhaaya re, bachcha bachcha gaaye, from bachpan bachpan."

    The song, composed by Amit Trivedi, will feature a group of children dancing with a backdrop full of Amitabh Bachchan’s favourite stills from different blockbusters. Remo D`Souza has choreographed the video.Bombay Talkiesis a collection of four short stories, directed by eminent directors like Kashyap, Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar and Dibakar Banerjee. The film which has been made in commemoration of 100 years of Indian cinema will hit the theatres on May 3.
