Box Office: Sultan Shatters All Records In Its Opening Weekend, Performs Best On Sunday

How much did all trade pundits predict for Sultan to make in its opening weekend? A mammoth 150 crores in its 5 day opening weekend! And how much has the movie made in these 5 days? Well much much more than that. To put Sultan’s box office figure in perspective of records is patently stupid. The film seems to be in a destructing mode with no signs of slowing down.

Having already made a gigantic 142 crores in just 4 days, while Sunday was expected to be big too, the 5^th day figure eventually emerged as the highest. The film garnered an absolutely unbelievable number of 38.21 crores and brought its total collection to 180.36 crore. Considering the kind of business a lot of biggies had done in the recent past, this record breaking spree looks magical to all trade analysts.

The film has broken the record of highest opening weekend collections and is eying to possibly shatter most records in all aspects. What has to be taken into consideration is Sultan has showed absolutely no signs of slowing down and has only augmented its figure day by day. With an outright positive word of mouth and Salmania in the air, the trends aren’t expected to slow down in the weekdays too and we may see new benchmarks being set in the coming days.
