It seems that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) Chief Pahlaj Nihalani has taken a pledge to leave no stone unturned in terms of obstructing every movie which is on the final verge of its release. The film fraternity can only pray that his tenure gets completed speedily and the chief gets his long awaited retirement.

Recently, The CBFC obstructed the certification of Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma starrer ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’. The chief of the board asked the makers of the movie to censor the word “intercourse” in the movie. Now in a recent interview, Nihalani has asked the audience to vote for their decision specifying that he requires one lakh votes of people who are against the censorship of the word.

Due to this obstruction, the makers were unable to release the movie’s trailer along with the screening of Tubelight. The chief also stated that the trailer is yet to be passed by the board. Although, the uncensored version of the trailer has been uploaded by the makers on YouTube. The movie is helmed by Imtiaz Ali and is slated to release on August 4.
