Confirmed! Padmavati Shoot To Finally Resume On March 10

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati is one such movie that is grabbing enough limelight much before its release. Few days before, the movie was in the mews for all the wrong reasons. While shooting in Jaipur, Karni Sena activists misbehaved with the crew members of Padmavati and one of them even slapped director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The activists claimed that the film is distorting the historical facts.

After the shooting was halted, it’s been a month and we heard no fresh update about the same. However, there’s something new in the story. The shooting for the flick will resume on March 10. The news was announced by actor Shahid Kapoor himself, who plays Queen Padmavati’s husband Raja Rawal Singh in the film.

The Kaminey actor revealed this while having a question and answer session on Twitter. When asked when he will resume work on Padmavati, he replied, “10 days”. The film also stars Deepika Padukone as Queen Padmavati and Ranveer Singh as Delhi ruler Alauddin Khilji who fell in love with the Rajput queen Padmavati.
