It seems that this is not a good time for Bollywood veterans as one after the other yesteryear actors have fallen ill in the past one month. First Rajesh Khanna then Shatrughan Sinha and now its the turn of wrestler-turned-actor Dara Singh to get admitted to a hospital. According to doctors at the Kokilaben Hospital, where the senior actor was hospitalized last evening following cardiac arrest, the condition of the 83-year-old actor is still very critical. "He is extremely critical and on ventilator. He is on a high dose of medication to support his blood pressure. We hope to see some improvement through the day," said Dr Ram Narain, COO at Kokilaben hospital. He added, "But we will continue to keep a watch on him". Dara Singhs son Vindu had also said yesterday that the veteran actor is still in danger. "He is serious. There is a blood clot in his brain or he has suffered heart attack... We are not sure what has happened. We have been told that he is under observation for 24 hours," Vindu said. Dara Singh is best known for his role of Hanuman in Ramanand Sagar's TV serial Ramayana and was last seen in Imtiaz Ali's Jab We Met. Meanwhile, Shatrughan Sinha, who was admitted to the same hospital last Monday, is recuperating here from breathing problems. He gets breathless occasionally and we have to adjust his medications accordingly. We will keep him under observation. It could take a couple of days, Dr Narain informed. However, in a good news to the fans of veteran actor Rajesh Khanna, he was discharged from Lilavati Hospital at around 1:30 am on Sunday. The Original Superstar of Bollywood was taken to the hospital on June 23 following continuous exhaustion and weakness. The doctors at Lilavati Hospital confirmed the news, saying, He underwent a battery of investigations and doctors were continuously monitoring his health. He is fine now. He was discharged on Sunday early morning. The actors estranged wife Dimple Kapadia, who is taking care of him since he fell ill, said, "We brought him home back today early morning. He is absolutely fine."
