    Deepika Padukone And Irrfan Khan’s Mafia Drama To Release On October 2 Next Year

    The unusual jodi of Irrfan Khan and Deepika Padukone in Piku was loved by all. Recently, the reports of them coming together for a film excited all their fans. The film is produced by Vishal Bharadwaj, who is known for making movies inspired by Shakespearean drama, such as Maqbool inspired by  Macbeth, Omkara by Othello and Haider by Hamlet, in association with KriArj Entertainment.

    The untitled film which is based on Mumbai’s mafia has finally got a release date. The film which will go on floors early next year is slated to hit the theatres on October 2, 2018. October 2 seems to be a favourite date for Vishal as most of his films have release on this date.

    The yet-to-be untitled film is based on the story ‘Femme Fatale’, which is a part of S Hussain Zaidi;s novel, ‘Mafia Queens of Mumbai’. Deepika will be playing a female don Rahima Khan aka Sapna Didi who plans to kill her husband’s killer, Dawood Ibrahim. However, somehow he gets to know about her plan and kills her before she could kill him.

    Debutant Honey Trehan will be at the helm of affairs for the porject. According to reports in Bombay Times, Deepika was a little apprehensive of working with the debutant director, however, she gave her nod after reading the script. She will start shooting for the flick after wrapping up Padmavati.
