Deepika Padukone: “I haven’t been approached for the film yet”

Rumours have been going around in tinsel town about the collaboration of ex-flames Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone after Kareena Kapoor Khan and Hrithik Roshan walked out of Shuddhi but Padukone rubbished the reports of any such possibility saying that she would have definitely be interested, if Hrithik was on the project. She also refused the buzz of being contacted for the same, “I haven’t been approached for the film yet. I don’t know if they (makers) know what is happening with the film.”

Deepika further commented, “At the point when Hrithik was doing it I would have definitely be interested in doing it. Now that he is not doing it, I don’t know what is happening with the project.” However, she also cleared that no matter who the actor is, she will be taking the project as the director Karan Johar approaches him. She says, “Yes I would do it, why not?… If Karan thinks I would do justice to it then I will do it. Though Hrithik is not doing the film, I would be okay to do the film with any other co-star. It all depends on what they plan to do with the project.” The movie produced and written by Karan, will have other writers Piyush Mishra and Ekta Pathak Malhotra. However, the cast is not certain, the director has decided on its release date. The maker tweets, “SHUDDHI will release on Friday the 25th of December,2015...the Lead cast will be announced shortly...” Let’s wait and watch, what next comes up in this venture.
