Starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra, Bajirao Mastani’s first look has already created a buzz amongst the audiences. All the characters of the historical romance film looked breathtaking in the sneak peak. The Cocktail actress’ designer from the flick, Anju Modi, has revealed that her look is inspired from the Persian Culture.

The designer also dressed the Piku actor in Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela. Anju told Indian Express, “My collection is inspired from Persian culture as I have been working on ‘Bajirao Masatni’ and had to create outfits for the Persian princess’ character. She is a girl who hails from Persia and the character is such that I needed to do a lot of research anyway”.

“Since it is an ancient civilisation, it has got a lot of heritage, tradition, great art work, architecture and mughal motifs, which are slightly different from our usual Rajasthani and Gujarati designs. All this mixed with India ethos has given me ideas to make it a contemporary line”, she added.  Deepika is playing a Persian princess Mastani in the film.
