Dhadkan 2 to go on-floors this year, confirms producer Ratan Jain

The 2000-love triangle between Akshay Kumar, Shilpa Shetty and Sunil Shetty, Dharmesh Darshan’s Dhadkan is going to be revisited very soon. The makers of the romantic blockbuster have planned to make a sequel of the film, titled Dhadkan 2.

Ratan Jain of Venus, who produced the original film, stated, "A lot of people have been constantly asking me about our plans of making 'Dhadkan 2'. I am happy to announce that we plan to go on-floors this year. The essence of the film will remain same however, the new age sensibilities will be kept in mind.” Director Darshan said, "I feel humbled and honoured. To follow-up what is considered a classic is challenging.” It’s expected that the film will be released in 2014.
