Dibakar is all bulls**t, says Shanghai actor

comments

Actor Pitobash Tripathy, now fondly known as the Bharat mata ki man, claims to have been neglected by the production houses of Shanghai, in spite of doing a big part in the film. I wasnt informed about anything the first look, music launch and not even the world premiere of the film, says an angry Pitobash. Its a PVR and Dibakar Banerjee production and they didnt even invite me.Talking about being sidelined, he says, On the day of the music launch, some reporters called to ask me why I wasnt there. Thats how I got to know that the event was taking place. Its unfair that I was kept in the dark. He adds, Even at the world premiere of the film (at IIFA 2012), I was seated with the audience while everyone, from the cinematographer to the director, was on stage.I just happened to be at the awards ceremony since I was nominated in one of the categories. Even though the actor is grateful to director Dibakar for giving him such a significant role, he is clearly miffed with the differential treatment he has been given. Says Pitobash, He gave me such a big role and it was great working with him. But I didnt expect this from him or his production house. Dibakars all bulls**t! I know that films sell because of the stars, but for courtesys sake, they shouldve at least informed me.I dont come from a filmi family, so when you work with such people, you hope that theyll support and promote you. The actor, who earlier won the Screen Award for Best Comedian for his role in Shor In The City (2011), hopes that things will change. He says, I want to do good work, but I dont want to be ignored on my films important occasions. We tried contacting Dibakar, but he remained unavailable for comment.
