Dil Dhadakne Do title track: An idea gone wrong

The first thing you’d think after watching and listening Dil Dhadakne Do’s title track is, ‘whose idea was that to let Priyanka and Farhan voice each and everyone on board?’ The song that on most parts appears to be a single shot taking, is a peppy track featuring each member of the principle star cast.

While the whole song has been sung by Priyanka and Farhan (two actors who can sing), we wonder why Zoya couldn’t get each of the actor lend voice to their own steps. If she could get Abhay Deol sing alright for Senorita in ZNMD, why not here? Does Priyanka lending voice to Shefali Shah and Anushka sound cool?  Not really! The same goes for Farhan. He is perhaps the only voice who suits no one else but himself. May be the makers should have thought of that.

With Shankar Ehsaan Loy at the composing studio, the song could have been much better. The lyrics again are written by Javed Akhtar. To be released on June 5, let’s look forward to some more revelations from the movie.
