Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge Is The Most Evergreen Love Story

A survey conducted by SoGoSurvey has stated that Aditya Chopra’s ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ is the most liked love story even after 20 years. The movie starred Shah Rukh Khan as Raj and Kajol as Simran and told the epic love tale of the couple who met in a foreign land and fought for their love till the end. ‘Aashiqui 2’ and ‘Bajirao Mastani’ followed DDLJ for the most evergreen love story.

The survey included 4,100 people from Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Kolkata, Hyderabad and other Indian cities. DDLJ was chosen as the most evergreen Bollywood love story by 47.33 percent of the participants. Aashiqui 2 was chosen by 14.66 percent while Bajirao Mastani had 11.99 percent of the people voting for it. 62 percent of the people who were over the age of 36 also felt the same way about DDLJ.

Among the other liked and loved romantic films were 2 States, Jab We Met and Veer Zaara. DDLJ came out in 1995 and is still running in Maratha Mandir in Mumbai. The movie had then won several Filmfare awards, a Screen award and a National Film award.
