Dimpy has been one of the best parts of my life: Rahul Mahajan

While many ­questioned ­contestant Rahul Mahajan’s proximity to his estranged wife Dimpy Mahajan in the reality game show, Bigg Boss, Rahul clears the air ­saying that there was no question of not  “being friendly” with her because there ain’t any bitterness between them.

The 39-year-old, who recently got evicted from the ongoing show, says that even though their marriage is in rough waters, he will ­continue to support Dimpy. He feels that people were ­jealous that they are still friends. “Dimpy and I have gone through a lot but the housemates obviously did not understand that. They ­wanted us to fight, but why should I? She has been one of the best parts of my life,” says Rahul.

Rumour mills have also been abuzz about Dimpy and Rahul dating other people outside the house and co-­contestants Karishma Tanna and Sambhavna Seth were often heard discussing about Dimpy’s supposed boyfriend in Dubai. Rubbishing it all, Rahul says, “All this is not true at all. It is so sad the heights women would go to degrade another woman. I guess they were jealous of our friendship.”.

In the show, Sambhavna was often seen at loggerheads with Dimpy and Rahul but he insists that he has no ­bitterness for her. “After I came out of the house, I called up Sambhavna’s ­boyfriend and her family, and told them that she is doing fine. She has always been a friend. I don’t know what happened to her in there,” he wonders. Rahul, meanwhile, doesn’t want to talk about his fallout with Karishma. “I respect women and I don’t want to say anything relating to Karishma. I have never ­spoken against her and I never will,” he says.
