Doctors Stop Chemo; A.R. Rahman 'Devastated' Over Aadesh Shrivastava's Condition

Aadesh Shrivastava is critically ill; the blood cancer has relapsed for the third time. The doctors have stopped the chemo therapy and the music composer has stopped responding to it. Many celebrities have visited Aadesh, while others, such as Lata Mangeshar and A.R. Rahman, have expressed grief over his condition on Twitter.

“Dear buddy Aadesh, I am devastated at hearing about your condition...Can't come to terms with it. May god help you ease your pain”, tweeted the Rahman. After Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan also visited the music composer in the hospital yester. Indian Express quoted a source as saying, “The Bachchans and Aadesh's families go back a long way. Aishwarya dropped in today and conveyed her warm wishes to Aadesh”.

Aadesh’s brother-in-law and composer Lalit Pandit told PTI, “He has been undergoing chemotherapy but he is not responding to it. So, the doctors have stopped giving him chemotherapy. They have an alternate theory. The doctors are trying to do their best and Aadesh is fighting it bravely “. He also told IANS, “We are not seeking help from the industry. We don't need money, we need prayers from people. We don't need funds and we have never asked for funds from anybody”.
