Dulquer Salmaan To Star In Manmariziyan

It is a known fact that Anurag Kashyap is preparing for his next movie titled Manmariziyan which has Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal playing the lead roles. And now it has come to light that Anurag has found his second lead in south superstar Dulquer Salmaan . A source has revealed that the makers were looking for a second lead for quite some time and Salmaan fit the bill.

According to reports in Mumbai Miror, Salmaan will complete the love triangle with Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal. Manmarziyan will be Dulquer’s second project in Bollywood. His first Bollywood film is Karwaan which is yet to release.

Karwaan, which also stars Irrfan Khan and Mithila Palkar, is about two friends going on a roadtrip. Manmarziyan will be produced by Anand L Rai, while Anurag Kashyap will direct it. Earlier, Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar were choosen to play the lead roles, while Sameer Sharma was supposed to direct it. But that did not work out. When people got to know that Aanand has choosen Anurag to helm the movie, it sent everyone in a state of shock since Kashyap is known for his noir drama movies.

However, Aanand in one of his interviews defended the filmmaker and said, “Just because he’s made a Gangs of Wasseypur doesn’t mean he doesn’t understand love. I gave him a narration, he loved the script but was busy with Mukkabaaz. I told him we would do both together. He could make my film after finishing his. This way I’d get satisfaction and he, lots of affection.”
