Dum Laga Ke Haisha holds strong on Monday

So there is finally some good news for Ayushmann Khurrana as a series of dud that he’s been a part of seems to be ending. Dum Laga Ke Haisha passed the crucial Monday test and held itself very well to indicate a good week run.

While performing on weekdays was very crucial for this Sharat Kataria directorial, the film posted one crore on Monday taking its tally up at 7 crores. The figure may appear to be low for some but considering the low cost, small release and negligible promotions, the figure is quite impressive. In fact, the first weekday figure is equal to what the film earned on its opening day. This goes out to show that word of mouth has certainly done the trick for the film.

While Bhumi Pednekar has looked strongly promising, the supporting cast too has generated a lot of goodwill from all over. Dum Laga Ke Haisha looks ahead at a fruitful first week with a profitable box office run. On the other hand, Nana Patekar’s Ab Tak Chhapan too was quite inconsistent and had a big fall on Monday.
