Ekta Kapoor lands in title trouble

The next production piece of Ekta Kapoor, Kuku Mathur Ki Jhand Ho Gayi is again in the news. Few days back, the movie was creating buzz when the co-producer of the movie Bejoy Nambiarwas quoted saying that “Kuku Mathur Ki Jhand Ho Gayi has a quintessential Delhi flavor”. However, N.L. Mathur doesn’t seem to like Nambiar’s idea.

N.L. Mathur, a resident of Bhopal claimed that the film’s title has hurt sentiments of Mathursfrom the Kayastha community and filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) against Kapoor’s production house. Further, Mathur wants the word ‘Jhand’ to be removed from the title. However, Tanuj Garg, CEO of Balaji Motion Pictures states that the film’s title relates to normal and standard nomenclature used in the country.

The film presents newcomers like Siddharth Gupta, former Femina Miss India Universe Simran Kaur Mundi and popular MTV VJ Siddharth Bhardwaj in the lead roles under the direction of Aman Sachdeva and is expected to hit the floors on May 30.
