Emraan Hashmi: ‘I wouldn’t recommend being a star’

Emraan Hashmi, whose international flick Tigers is delayed to release in India, recently said that he wouldn’t recommend any aspiring actor to become a star. The Hamari Adhuri Kahani star told HT, “I don’t know what a star or superstar means. I would recommend anyone, who joins the industry, to be an actor first. I wouldn’t recommend being a star”.

In fact, Emraan doesn’t like attention. He further explained, “I am uncomfortable with fame. It’s not like I don’t like attention. I would be lying if I say that. Sometimes the whole overdoes of fame is what gets to me. I like it in a fair measure. Some actors love that, they love going out there and are constantly in the limelight. I guess I am just not like that”.

He also talked about his son 4-year-old son, saying that Ayaan loves attention. “My son loves attention. In fact, he gets very happy when there is media around. But he does get upset when the attention is on me and not him, when people ask me for autographs. If he becomes an actor, he will be one of those who love attention and who love to be in the limelight all the time, unlike his father”, he added.
