Emraan Hashmi’s look in ‘Azhar’ revealed

The first look of the upcoming movie ‘Azhar’, which is based on the life of former Indian cricket team captain Mohammad Azharuddin was revealed on Twitter today. This Tony D'Souza directorial features Emraan Hashmi in the lead. The biopic will feature the achievements and controversies of the cricketer’s life.

The Jannat actor is quite ecstatic to play this character. He tweeted, “For many he was a hero for some a villain. He has been worshipped, judged and criticised for 30 years. Get ready to get teased today”. He also wrote, “Put ur collars up.. for the man called AZHAR !!! Watch this space...TODAY 2pm !!!”.

Prachi Desai is once again paired up with the Once upon a Time in Mumbaai star to play Azharuddin’s wife. ‘Azhar’ also features the rumoured relation of the cricketer with Sangeeta Bijlani. As per the rumours, Jacqueline Fernandez will play this character. The story of the film is written by Rajat Aroraa, who is known for his work in Kick. ‘Azhar’ is a joint production of Balaji Motion Pictures and MSM Motion Pictures. The expected release date of the movie is May 13, 2016.
