Exclusive: Kalki Talks About Being Stereotyped As An Offbeat Actress!

Is it just us or do you also feel there’s more to Kalki Koechlin than just being an offbeat actress serving metallic performances in movies that aren’t being watched by the masses in numbers? The only share of mainstream cinema that she has been a part of is Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara which apparently was also not completely commercial. While Kalki doesn’t believe one bit in being stereotyped, the actress seemed rather frantic for people not acknowledging her versatile style of acting. On being asked if she has made an image for herself that’s only taking her through an offbeat genre of cinema, here’s what Kalki had to say:

With out of the commercial realm films like Dev D, Shanghai, Margarita With A Straw, Shaitan, The Girl In Yellow Boots and My Friend Pinto completely outnumbering the far and few mainstream movies she has done, isn’t it fair to conclude she is yet to fully set herself up in the mass oriented territory?
